About
Northeast Economic Development Corporation, Inc. (NEDC) was established in 2007 as a membership organization to promote community improvement projects in northeast Wyandotte County, Kansas City, Kansas. We are a not-for-profit 501(c)(30 Community Development Corporation (CDC). NEDC is committed to achieving the following goals for Wyandotte County's urban core neighborhoods:

Increase home ownership.

Attract business and commercial development to provide jobs and support revitalization;

Facilitate partnerships between public and private stakeholders;

Assist in the recapture of the County's tax base.
We believe all communities can embrace who they are,

Our Mission
Our mission is to revitalize the neighborhoods of northeast Wyandotte County through development of clean, decent, safe and affordable housing, education, and job readiness. We believe this is important to the security of future generations.
Our Vision
Our vision is to redevelop our community by challenging the mindset of the citizens through economic empowerment creating lifelong learners, who can be productive and responsible citizens in the 21st century.
